Airports: San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK) serve the San Francisco Bay Area, where UC Berkeley is located.

Public transport is available from these airports to the city of Berkeley.

Public Transportation: 

The city of Berkeley is served by the Richmond Line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and AC Transit buses. BART provides service to/from SFO and OAK. To learn more, visit BART Airport Connections. The BART stop for UC Berkeley is Downtown Berkeley. Visit 511.org to plan a trip.

The Downtown Berkeley BART station is located at Shattuck Avenue between Center Street and Allston Way.

To reach Shattuck Plaza Hotel, located in the southwest corner Shattuck Avenue and Allston Way, please take the southwest exit of the BART station.

Taxis service to the Graduate Hotel is available from the Downtown Berkeley BART station for ~$10 - 12. Taxis are available at all hours on Center Street and Shattuck Avenue, near the northwest exit of the BART station.

Airport Shuttle: 

Shuttle service to UC Berkeley is also available for approximately $40 to $75 from SFO and about $25 to $40 from OAK. Visit CITRIS for more information.

Airport Taxi: 

A taxi ride from OAK to Berkeley costs approximately $40, while a taxi ride from SFO is approximately $70. On-demand car services like Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the Bay Area.  Please note that traffic from either airport to the Berkeley campus can be heavy during commute hours, so please allow for extra travel time.
